MILAN & STOCKHOLM REPORT

STOCKHOLM (SHOPPING)

Just came back last week from a lovely summer-shopping trip to Stockholm, ending with a boat trip this time! A beautiful city indeed, and what i really appreciate to see is that the people do keep to their own fashion style. One can describe it as effortless and minimalistic, with a focus on high quality and practicality, rather than blind following designer labels or logo's. A few of my favorite shops to visit are Filippa K, Samsoe & Samsoe, J. Lindberg and Cheap Monday.

MILAN REPORT (SALONE DI MOBILI 2013)

Beginning of april i went to the 'Salone di Mobili' in Milan.
Cycling criss-cross through town on a Milanese city bike is a joyful and easy way to visit as many showrooms possible. Designers from all over the world are present and also this year the Scandinavian designers were most impressive.
In this year's 'Salone di Mobili post' i will focus on new inspiration for lightning design. Interesting to see is the ongoing use of natural materials.
