My love for contrast has always been there. Nowadays it shows in my own interior through basic grey's and the warmth of natural wood. So it wasn't a surprise that i became enthusiastic about the work of Elisa Strozyk. She has done a perfect job turning wood into textile.
It was a brilliant and sunny weekend in Paris! Staying in the 5th arr. close to the Jardins du Luxembourg is my absolute favorite place to be. It was nice to look at my photo's afterwards, as they all were inspired by a mix of naturals, grey's & greens, wood colors and influences of baroque!

These realistic painted pictures made by Leah Giberson from Boston US blew my mind! why? My first thought was that i felt a strange 2-way sensation of happiness (holiday) and loneliness (absence of people) at the same time. Than when i thought a little longer, the absence of tourist crowds is exactly what appeals to me in these paintings, no holiday stress :-) I also just admire the extraordinary idea of painting this subject.
