XMAS BOOKPARTY!

In my friend Eline's 2nd interior book, a beautiful illustrated guide for making your own home decorations, i participated designing the sweets and cakes with their recipies. (see my earlier post :-)
Preparations for the party started on the monday before on which i helped Eline decorating the location in Veenendaal and setting the special X-mas table. We had a lot of fun that day! including my two little monsters (doggies).  

On wednesday the 30th, the day of the actual bookparty, many people were invited to see the works from the book in 3D. 
They were also treated with new inspiration from the decorated X-mas table. Yes! the entire team had created their own plate space..all kinds of very nice handwork!

Later that day great news was given by the publisher: The book will be translated and published in english in june 2012!

STORMY WEATHER

It's good fun to see the dogs running around at the beach but today there was just a tiny strip. Due to the storm the sea came up right towards the dunes. It was way to tricky to walk on the jetty for a good  that runs into the sea....

LET IT SNOW

YES! The nordic pullover for Nando, my shorthaired teckel, is ready! 

He really likes to run about in the grass when we go out walking. Stretching his little legs & jumping around like a goat. But the first day the grass was all frozen up he was shaking like a leaf. So i decided to make an exception to the rule (no dressing up the dogs) and had this pullover made by my sweet sister! 

I wasn't sure he'd appreciate it, but it turns out Nando does not mind wearing it at all!....Still i will keep it just for those snowy days! 

We take orders, just let us know!

WEBDESIGN

Walking the dogs on the early saturday morning is fabulous for outside it's so quiet and peaceful. Nature has already exposed it's great treasures. Take the combination of the spider's work and the dew, little glass pearls on a string.. simply amazing!

BOOKPARTY

The new home decoration book from my friend Eline is out and about! On the 30th of november we will all be attending her xmas bookparty and make an inspirational XMAS table! Don't forget to make a run for an early copy of the book at the stand on the FLAVOURITES fair (18-19-20 november) in the north of Amsterdam, a brand new location in the old Stork factory!

LAZY SUNDAY

Today is a beautiful day, the sun is out, the windows open and i'm preparing dinner for my guests later today..... if i'm ready in time we can all go for a stroll at the seaside...making the dogs happy too!

HENRIETTE SIMONS

Last weekend i visited the remarkable exposition of Henriette Simons. She showed various paintings in the back of Neef Louis 2nd hand shop in Amsterdam. A striking spot, as she placed the work in between the vintage goods of the shop. The work of Henriette is created with tangible memories from the past and translated into the present time. These old memorable pieces show the ephymerality of life. Sympathetic works of a sympathetic lady!

EARLY BIRD

Yes, i admid.. i'm an early bird when it comes to purchasing Xmas decorations! i was just shopping around for other things but my eye was caught by this sweet little xmas tree :-)
