CAROLINA FONTOURA ALZAGA

Holland is the land of bicycles but it's the Los Angeles based multi disciplinary designer Carolina Fontoura Alzaga who creates these seemingly luxurious used bike parts chandeliers. Her CONNECT series chandeliers draw inspiration from Victorian and modern chandeliers. They also match her dedication to the ideas of sustainability and preservation.

I know....we haven't seen much of summer yet, but some things are just not influenceable..
Last week i attended a Trend seminar covering all sorts of beautiful inspiration for Fall Winter '14-15.

GREENHOUSE

Today i spent most of the day working on the vegetable plot, dividing and replanting the strawberries so they are more comfy and ready for growing HUGE & JUICY strawberries. YES! 
I wished for a bit of rain at the end of the day so i did not have to water them. But my wish came true instantly! and soon me and the dogs transformed into muddy monsters. My thoughts wandered off .........

.....to a perfect 'greenhouse' for spending one's (rainy) sunday afternoon!

Alice Tait is a British illustrator who has worked with the likes of Vogue and many others. She is an admirer of Toulouse Lautrec as you can see in her beautiful work.
She also inspires me with her striking illustrations of Roger, her dachshund. As i own two of them i certainly know how adorable & photogenic they are! 

LONG WEEKEND

Last weekend i was lucky to be visiting a very good friend, who's beautiful garden is the best place to be on a sunny day with a good book in hand...or just talking endlessly.
